Jobs can wait, but the lives of these kids cannot. And because no one else was doing anything else about it.

You hear a lot about Africa, but it's right here in our own home.

The best part is you can see where the money goes. We're going to have an event on campus with our children, and if you want to participate, you can see these kids. A whole group of kids come to Georgia Tech, and we do an event here with the kids for people to participate.

We simply cannot allow for it to continue to kill our jobs and, frankly, to move our kids out of state.

This is the first year that we have done anything like this. The kids are really into their jobs. Every student ran for an elected position. They made posters and gave speeches.

We're particularly concerned where kids are exposed to high temperatures and high humidity with nowhere to cool down, ... Everyone would agree that one kid dying of a heat-related illness is something no one wants, especially when it is a totally preventable situation if proper steps are taken.
