I've read until my eyes were bleeding. I don't know what more could be said. This is not a black-and-white issue.

It's tough to not read that article and think

The superintendent does not want Lieutenant Black to have a fair trial.

It's not gangbusters. It's a few here, a few there. But mostly, the bleeding has stopped.

Love lies bleeding in the bed whereover Roses lean with smiling mouths or pleading: Earth lies laughing where the sun's dart clove her: Love lies bleeding.

That's a first line many have heard, whether or not they've read the book.
