I've been kicked out of school. It took me 30 years to get through community college.

I have a ton of community service done. Besides it being a requirement for high school and college, I love to volunteer. I do the Relay for Life every year, which is a fundraiser for cancer.

It's something I don't advertise. It wasn't laying out on the table saying 'take me'.

It's really good for the students and I like to do it. I didn't travel much when I was younger. It [traveling] changed my life.

The biggest thing is to take a chance outside of your comfort zone.

After I left high school and got my GED, I studied broadcast journalism for a year at a community college.
