Comrades, through the years of bloodshed and many marches you were tried and true soldiers. So through years of peace you have been good citizens, and now that we are again united under the old flag, I love it as I did in the days of my youth, and I feel sure that you love it also.

We are here today to pay tribute to all the soldiers who risked their lives to defend freedom, even though they did not enjoy those freedoms back home.

We've got about 550 soldiers and airmen deployed in support of operation Iraqi Freedom and operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
