It's something we've been doing for years. We compete against those teams to have us playing at the highest level. That's our motive.

We've lost to teams that are highly rated or have much bigger programs. The results should help us mentally when we compete in (Class) AA. The season gives us a measuring stick of where we are.

I don't want to put the buggy before the horse. But we should be much better next year.

Those four help our younger players get focused. It's sort of like having one mindset, one objective, and that's to win the state title.

I think we need to get back to the basic fundamental parts of our offense that I brought with us from USC. I was able to spend some time in California with Coach Carroll and those guys. Hopefully we can work out some of the kinks we have on offense.

It was important for us to kind of get the good feeling back.
