It's sad to think that this sort of historic opportunity may be lost. We'll continue to insist on truth, justice and reparations for the victims and their families, but at this point it's disappointing.

We don't understand why a surveillance opportunity wasn't granted. If the Justice Department isn't at fault, then the process is at fault.

These seats - they only come up once every 30 or so years, so that makes it a real opportunity. Because it's a safe seat, it allows whoever is elected to take leadership on significant issues of national importance - wherever the passions lie.
