It's overwhelming to be with a team for seven months and end the season on a win. To see the kids' faces after accomplishing something that's extremely hard to do - the feeling is indescribable.

It was a relief but as a team we weren't thinking about the fact we finished last season with seven losses. We just viewed the loss to the Cowboys as nothing more than a first-round loss.

So far, in the two months I've been down there, the response has been overwhelming. Things couldn't be better than they are, as far as I'm concerned.

We weren't the same offensive team in September/October that we were the first five months of the season. It's important to figure out why. Is it fatigue? Is it age? Is it 30 games in 30 days [from Aug. 23 to Sept. 21]?

We started out the regular season with a win against them. I'd like to begin the region tournament with a win against them too.

Only two teams finish the season with a win -- the team that wins the state title and the third-place finisher. The fact that we ended up where we did, I think we surpassed what many people thought we could accomplish. That's a credit to our girls.
