It's in an organization's best interest to pay their employees fairly. It keeps them there, and it keeps them happy.

The public has a vested interest in being sure that public employees are carrying out their duties in a professional way. In some of the cases, we received the entire file and then in others we didn't get anything. That has the appearance that there's a different standard for different types of employees.

It's in their interest to do as quick a job, as good a job as possible, to protect their employees as well as customers.

Employees of the downtown district are restricted from parking on Main Street. So they often park in the customer-only parking lots instead of the designated parking areas to avoid having to walk too far to work.
