It's gonna be like this for the next few years, I think, ... It's gonna be good for drivers because there is a shortage of drivers.

It's frustrating. It kind of drains you, but I've got to be optimistic about our season. We had a great race car, and I have to applaud the engine department. We've had great engines. We've got great horsepower, and you can see how good these engines run.

I'm not feeling as optimistic, obviously, but Tony and Jimmie got in a little tangle earlier this season at Phoenix and Tony got wrecked, ... The other thing is, is they have had really flawless runs, and Phoenix is a little bit more of a hazard than Homestead, so to speak. But anything can happen. Jimmie has not run that well at Phoenix; if he ends up 18th, I win the race, Tony gets crashed or something happens to Tony Stewart 's car, that puts us right in the position with having to beat them by only about five spots (at) Homestead to win the title. You know, that is what it's going to take. So I'm saying we're not out of it, but, you know, our hopes are not like they were.

It was a great run. The guys did a great job in the pits. The guys did a fantastic job.good run for us I am really excited about it. I learned a lot today.a good warm-up for tomorrow I think.

[Driver Greg Biffle said a member of his crew took a photo of the Hendrick cars failing the height inspection at Dover.] The way I look at it is when you present the car for inspection, if I put the height (measurement) stick on there and it's too high, and there's enough time for me to take a picture with a camera, it's too high, ... I don't care what else happens.. .. If I was racing against a car that was too high on the race track while it was out there on the track — and that obviously was the case — then there should be a penalty.

We need a strong run to rebuild the momentum we have lost in the last few weeks, ... A win this weekend would be a great rebound from the points we lost last week and a victory in Ford's backyard is always something we want.
