It's funny the city treats these trees the way they do. They are assets to the city.

You had to get out of them occasionally, those Illinois towns with funny names: Paris. Oblong. Normal. Once, when the Dow Jones hit 200 points, the paper's banner headline read: 'Normal Man Marries Oblong Woman.'

The city is getting bigger and bigger every year. But here, you can have a beautiful home and have it nestled with these beautiful trees.

This is our little neighborhood and obviously we are concerned about it.

Because death and illness are the most horrible things in life, of course that's where the most absurdly funny things are going to happen.
