It's an integral part of health care to have fun. It's important for the staff and the patients.

We work really hard. If you don't have fun and humor in this field, then you struggle to make it.

We want to provide a fun atmosphere, with great musicians and great art to bid on and activities for the kids.

Hobby Lobby has St. Patrick's ornaments and garland and valentine's, but back to school -- that was another story. I had to make blocks, little crayons tied together. I tied those in little bundles for ornaments.

Patients love it, families, my staff, of course. It's a nice morale-booster. It's kind of lifted spirits throughout the year.

Last Christmas (2004), the staff had asked me if we could leave it up, so that's when we started.
