It's an honor and privilege to be selected. I'm honored to be a part of that crew to represent the positions of Connecticut and provide expertise of the law of the sea.

I'm honored and delighted at this appointment. It's a terribly interesting time in this arena.

In 1991, we united together to create a peaceful resolution in the Gulf War. The international community, working with the United Nations to prevent aggression, it was a 'sexy' time to be looking at international law. Now it's the new war on terror and warfare.

To be able to be a student here is obviously a privilege, but especially during the flagship, it's an honor to be here with so many brilliant minds.

I think it's a wonderful honor and privilege to be called that. But you do it to his face. I ain't doing it.
