It's always too late for sorries, but I appreciate the sentiment.

We are all imperfect. We have biases we are blind to seeing. We are ignorant in our own arenas. We have to own our ignorance if we want our apologies to create change.

I'm sorry that we're late. I'm sorry that we couldn't do this 30 or 40 years ago when some of our candidates were alive. But we're here now to make this right.

There is an immeasurable distance between late and too late.
