It's a punishment that he's going to have to live with the rest of his life. To me, that's a far greater punishment than whatever games you missed or didn't miss.

I remember Mark Aguirre getting out of a wheelchair to score 40 in Maine. He wasn't afraid to go anywhere to play. The older guys were like that. They would go anywhere to play because it was good for the game.

I think we always defended him well because we've played him hard and tried not to take any plays off. The shot he hits at the end of the half (against Cincinnati) is a hustle play. You can't let that happen. You can't give him those kinds of baskets. He's going to get baskets enough times where you can't give him easy stuff.

That never really bothers me too much. It's more about who you're playing. And I think Syracuse is good.
