It's a major fundraiser for PGSA. It gives local youth the opportunity to play competitive soccer and learn sportsmanship.

It's a kick off to the spring season for the teams to see what they are able to do. It starts here.

The tournament has grown steadily in the last five or six years. We anticipate a good year with hopefully good weather. We've had all kinds of weather and the name kind of comes from that. You don't know whether it's going to be a beast or beautiful.

This team has more experience than this program has seen in awhile. I have to compliment the city's youth soccer program. We're definitely seeing the benefits.

[In my youth], I played a little soccer but I think because of my height and my friends I got involved in basketball. It was my passion since I was young. I started playing at age 7, so I've been playing for quite a while.

I want to thank the organization and players for giving me the opportunity to be involved in soccer. I assure you that the team will do everything they can to succeed and represent Laredo well.
