It's a long-overdue project. It's also a very expensive one.

The whole theme of the project is exquisite -- exquisite and expensive.

I would much prefer to see the arena not only owned and constructed but operated by the private sector. That takes it totally out of the government's hands, and it would be much better promoted. That, in itself, brings dividends to the city. That's the economic payoff to the city.

This is really happening. It isn't a dream, or maybe it is, but it's one long, long overdue.

We're a little overdue,

It's always great to recognize one of your own. And this recognition of Paul is long overdue. He achieved so much in a relative short period of time. If he were still with us, there's no telling how far he would have gone in the (entertainment) business.
