It's a little more difficult to justify letting a guy play golf. However the Navy wants to use me, that's how I'll be used.

We respect what they do, the job they perform. But they have these teeny-weenie boats that don't really do much.

I had a blast talking to him.

But if the hole is big enough, the square peg goes through. This is definitely a first-time thing for everybody involved. I just hope I can represent the Navy as well as it deserves to be represented.

However the Navy wants to use me, that's what I'll do. It's sort of up to Washington how that goes. I hope this [tournament] spurs that on a little bit.

I hope it creates a sort of luster effect. Maybe it will add a bit more of a patriotic sense to the event. There are Navy people and Armed Forces personnel everywhere.
