It's a day of reckoning. Yesterday we saw huge amounts of aircraft coming in, so on this first day of the new phase of the emergency we have to make sure that everything is coordinated.

It's not too little, too late. Now we've rescued people, the next stage is emerging. People are extremely weak. They're traumatized and exhausted. We've got to support them while the water goes down.

There are no plans at this stage to stop flights coming in but the situation is very uncertain. We have several aircraft scheduled for this week to bring in food for tens of thousands of people.

We don't do Lincoln Day Dinners in South Carolina. It's nothing personal, but it takes a while to get over things.

Hopefully one day we'll take over all of the downtown historic district.

July Fourth means a lot to me as an American, ... It is a patriotic day. It is not particularly about WWII or any war. It just shows a patriotic way of life we really should celebrate not just on Independence Day but every day.
