It's a commodity to them, but to us it's our community.

Knowing that the whole community is counting on us, that they're behind us, is a pretty amazing feeling. It's one of the biggest events of the year for both towns; it always has been.

I think this is a very special community and our foundation has never raised this much money in such a short period of time and I think it's a real community commitment and really a desire to have a much better emergency department, so it's a wonderful story.

There was an incredible buzz around the community about it. This seemed to be very important to the people of Canterbury.

Community members can drop off their donations at our front office. The American Legion has agreed to pay some of the shipping costs and the Student Council officers are working on soliciting businesses for their assistance as well.
