It would be nice to follow in Fiona's footsteps because it is everybody's dream to come home with Olympic gold and she has been behind us all the way.

While I am, of course, delighted at being the one to hit this milestone, I must confess that, along with many others, I timed my contributions tonight to give me a chance at being the lucky one.

We are disappointed because at the end of the third end the ice changed and we didn't quite get hold of it.

We've had a good time but this is serious now. This is why we've put in all the training, all the practice, all the hard work. This is what we came here for.

Knowing that I've already got one gold medal at home helps a bit with the entire situation. Skiing isn't everything in the world and a gold medal isn't everything in the world. And I'm not badly off. In fact, I'm quite happy.

We want to do this for the kids the last couple years that didn't get the gold to take home. They're in the back of our minds, and we want to win it for them.
