It will take more than just a few election cycles to complete the restoration of our environment, and our renovation into a vibrant 21st Century economy. But these policy proposals will move us in the right direction. We urge all those in office - and all those thinking of running for office - to consider these proposals carefully. Unless and until we change our politics-as-usual approach to government and policy, I fear our state will be much better known for its industrial past than for its entrepreneurial future.

Our plan for the Commonwealth will promote a quality environment and dynamic economy. We propose tax credits and other new investments in clean energy, environmental programs and revitalized cities and towns, which will lead to new jobs and new economic growth. We also propose measures that will save the Commonwealth money through the elimination of wasteful and often counterproductive programs and projects.

We had to shift our lineup because of injuries. We proved we could adjust to the environment even though they may not be our strongest pairs. We will go back to our original lineup as soon as our players all get healthy. But right now we are just concentrating on this competition, rest and then prepare for the weekend.

We are truly pleased that the members of the House refused to be railroaded into passing bad legislation. The proposed cleaner car standard passed by the EQB will mean cleaner air, which is desperately needed by the one million Pennsylvanians with respiratory problems - most of them children or the elderly. With less pollution being released, we should see fewer asthma attacks, other breathing problems and cardiac problems, all of which are exacerbated by pollution from cars and trucks. And putting cleaner cars on the road will reduce our demand for gasoline, which will lead to price cuts, meaning more money in the bank for all Pennsylvanians.

I think we've recovered. It will never be the same because, again, you're not gonna replace someone like that. ... But the sport is in a better position, (and) a lot of that still comes - even five years down the road now - from the things that Dale did and was doing and was putting into place at that particular time.

The guys were pretty upset with the way they jumped in the first round. But we will just have to live with it for now.
