It was pretty emotional. The hardest thing was not knowing. That's a parent's worst nightmare. Once we found out he was safe, it was like the weight of the world had been lifted off our shoulders.

He told us he drove around aimlessly for a while before finally going to Mount Lemmon.

He said it was a spur of the moment thing. Apparently he wanted to spread his wings and find out what the big, bad world is really like. Well, he found out real quick.

This is a story with a happy ending. We're thankful because so many of them out there don't.

Those two have been setting the pace the whole year so far. We're a pretty deep team, but those two have been clearly out front. After them is a group of five, six, seven runners who are doing well.

It's been an up-and-down year, but for as young as we are, we've done pretty good.
