It was one of the hardest landings I've ever had.

The name is also connected with living in New York in this really weird time. People are constantly waiting for something bad to happen. I wrote these songs and formed this band to make sure I didn't get overcome by that sense of fear. That's what this band is about -- standing tall and not being afraid.

[The Bravery are new to Miami, but were having no problem navigating the city thanks to a certain video game.] It's just like 'Vice City,' ... We didn't realize how accurate it is to the video game. We were driving down the street and our drummer started freaking out, 'You don't know how many times I've crashed a Porsche into that building.'

We're called The Bravery because that's the mindset I was in when I was writing the songs,

We're sick of playing the same songs all the time, and we want to start bringing in some new stuff, ... There'll be more sort of like a human element to [the next LP]. We'll be playing with more chops, skill, that kind of thing, but then there will also be the synthetic stuff that will be even more synthetic. So I think we'll probably just go further in both directions.
