It was great to be back at the Eastern Area tournament. I was very pleased with our performance. We had all but three kids place among the top six.

Ryan had a little more pressure on him this year. He wrestled a little tentatively and didn't open up the entire tournament. He realized that. He knows if he doesn't open up at states, he won't place.

I was really pleased with the lightweights. Sometimes they lack confidence against tough competition. I'm hoping their performance in the opening two rounds helps their confidence.

It's very simple, but that's exactly what I do and that's exactly what most stores don't. No phony 'going out of business' sales here.

I think the two players that have surprised me the most are Megan Rooney and Lisa McManus. Both have shown tremendous improvement in their games since last year and both have good court strategy and competitiveness that has helped them this season.

Rugs make a hard surface look better and soften it up. A good rug completes the sections of a room.
