It was an excellent night for us. We may have created more interest in basketball as an event and, hopefully, we'll draw more of them back as the season goes on.

Comets are far more than an intellectual interest. These things affect us, and may have even enabled us [to exist].

I saw firsthand the interest in basketball over there, and it made me reconsider. Nothing is final, but I'm certainly considering playing.

If we had a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Bill Walton or Yao Ming, you'd have to make sure he gets the ball. You really have to know your team and your talent. It's kind of unconventional. But we felt the only way we can succeed is to shoot threes.

They were not going to break at the end like some teams in this league. I don't think this team ever felt like it could catch up because (South Alabama) held it together and didn't fold.

They've got a thoroughbred look now. There's a lot of bounce in their step.
