It was an awesome game. This was our most challenging game in terms of speed and skill. It was good to have this game. They truly challenged our strengths and our weaknesses.

That was a great way to start the season. We were able to get off on the good foot and that's what we've been working toward. It really feels good, but we're just going to take it one game at a time.

I told the girls at the half that we need to have someone step up. We needed to maintain possession and that's what we did. We came up sluggish in the first half and we needed a momentum shift. Sarah's goal was huge because it got us going. From there we came back hard in the second half and were able to get a win.

I think Maxine played an incredible game in goal. That's the best part of this team ... we have no one person who carries the team, it's the whole team.

Allow me to offer my congratulations on the truly admirable skill you have shown in keeping clear of the mark. Not to have hit once in so many trials, argues the most splendid talents for missing.

(Auburn coaches) did terrific at the two most important recruiting positions: offensive skill players and defensive linemen. That was Auburn's biggest area of need, and they filled those positions perfectly.
