It was amazing. The amount of phone calls were crazy. He could have gone anywhere.

It's like a dream you just can't explain. He was a talent waiting to happen.

He's going to be great. He's one of the fastest kids in the state. He can really run and catch a football.

I don't know how good he is, but he's a great running back. He has a great future ahead of him. I've never seen this happen. I've never seen a kid go from an unknown commodity to pretty much being able to name whatever school he wanted to attend. It was like a fairy tale to him.

As a football player, you couldn't ask for anybody who worked any harder than he did. In the spring of his junior year, every college scout who came through here thought he was ready to go just because he played so hard. It was kind of scary.

I've never had something like that done for me or against me.
