It was a very intense game. It opened my eyes. It was a little more physical than I thought.

There were a few days I didn't think I would play again. My leg was three times as big with metal plate. I thought I would pursue baseball.

The fact that I knew a few National Trail Conference players that went on to play there helped.

Education is a bigger part. I use basketball to help my education so I can pursuit other things.

It opens your eyes a little bit. You could be having the worst day and go 0 for 4 with four strikeouts and you get these guys out here and see what they have to endure and it's a reality check. They are just out there having fun, and you take a lot from that.
