It was a tough election for all. Everyone cares for Colorado, and I understand why others feel differently.

We've never done it differently, and if we weren't at the same school it would be tough because we are involved with the students.

Our American story, for generations, is of a people who seek to move forward. A people who look at a mountain and worry not about the tough climb ahead, but dream about the view from the summit.

We're going to talk to the voters about the issues Colorado cares about. We don't begrudge him bringing in Eastern Bloc friends, but I suspect that the cowboys down at the coffeehouse in Delta are more interested what the candidates have to say about water and health care than whether or not the president of Poland is backing you.

It is the solemn obligation of a leader always to be a leader. Even when - perhaps especially when - you don't feel like being a leader.
