Birthdays are meant for special occasions.

They have done great things for the Northern program, for our team and for each of us. They have meant a lot to us, and we want to keep the season going for them.

After my first two at bats, I had to make a little adjustment. He was throwing me nasty cutters and I just came out and laid off of it. I got to 2-0 and tried to go the other way and play my game. He made a mistake with a fastball up, but I'll take it.

He was impressive. His demeanor never changes. It doesn't matter if he's getting hit around or if he's cruising; he looks the same out there.
