It was a request we kept hearing again and again. They see a lot of people with dental problems and have nowhere to refer them.

As one ages, one is more physically limited, not as mobile and has problems seeing and hearing.

I keep hearing from principals that we have more students with social and emotional problems. It seems like we've been ignoring this problem and I am persuaded that we need to find a way to fund both these positions, one at each middle school.

I can't say enough about the Louisiana state people. They heard our problems, and they simply fixed them. It's beautiful to see a general sitting there from the National Guard saying, 'I can do that,' and it's done.

That's one of the problems so far this season is that we just can't sustain and be consistent in what we're doing.
