It was a new experience for all of us. We accomplished our goal and it was such a good feeling to see NAU walk into the finals competition.

Our mindset was to make the finals. We wanted to beat the curse. We have never made it to the second day of competition. We were set on changing the perception about NAU cheerleading.

We hit the routine on Sunday. It was one of the cleanest routines at the competition.

The sophomores have matured from last year, but we are still a young team. We gained some experience and I think we'll be able to compete a little more than we did last year.

They're near the best of their weapon and they have the experience from years on the strip. So they have everything it takes to be the complete fencer.

It's not just the job, it's the total experience of the community.
