It was a great win. I know some of those kids over there. I was pumped for it.

It's the best feeling in the world to see kids that you've trained achieve at a national event. You work so closely with them, day in and day out, it becomes like a second family.

We do want to send American kids to Rome, ... to learn the classics, and then of course then trash them, and re-interpret them, and be very contemporary with it.

It's a big loss for the judiciary but a bigger loss for kids.

These kids had all earned top individual scores at the regional competition in February. And that's why they were eligible for states.

These kids have paid the price to win a championship. We knew we had to come out fighting today. They refused to lose today. We did everything we could to win the championship, and that's what makes me so proud of them.
