It was a great experience to sit up there in the front row while he was speaking. He handled himself very well, but that didn't surprise me. He's been doing amazing things all his life.

We're just glad he made it through his time in Iraq. His appointment there came out of left field. We had no idea. He survived several assassination attempts, and even now he has to have bodyguards when he appears at advertised public functions. He had them at Lynchburg College.
