It took me a year to figure out that I needed to spend a lot more time on special teams.

She's great to the kids who come to our games and any time you ask her to do something, she goes beyond it. She's a great ambassador for our program.

We needed one win down there and, fortunately, we got it. Now it's just a matter of being consistent and taking care of business. We're in the driver's seat [schedule-wise]. We can't take any team lightly. And we're going to need solid goaltending.

We made some mistakes against a very good team that capitalized on them. Now it's just a matter of getting back to basics and believing we can win.

It will be a big challenge for us this week, especially with the layoff. But the girls are mentally fresh. We gave them a [workout] program and they came back in very good shape.

She was ready again. It's been a long year, but each time she finds the energy she needs.
