This is the great crisis in Western culture; there's nothing comparable to it. How it could have happened, the level of responsibility that people take for it, I think, is still the great issue.

We live in a world in which everything seems to needed now and working quickly is normally viewed as a positive attribute in the workplace...Do not let yourself become too frazzled and stressed by doing everything at high speed.

As I have coached hundreds of individuals in the workplace, I have discovered that we waste precious time by delaying and procrastinating. We might know that the work is very urgent and important but we still might find ourselves being slow to start the task.

This is so tiny it can go where no one has ever gone before. (Nano-particles) can cross the blood-brain barrier. The general concern is that the safety work really has to be done or people won't trust the products.

It is crucial to recognize that abortion is a symptom, not a disease. It is a very nasty symptom, it is a horrific thing -- but it isn't the disease. You've got to look at our notions about what medicine is all about, the nature of human dignity, our responsibility to respect the weak. Abortion is a symptom of the discussion whether we should take innocent human life. Historically, we've always said no. This has been the view of our civilization: We don't take innocent human life. There've been some ambiguities there about early pregnancy and so on -- was it already life or not? But that isn't the point. When life is there, you don't deliberately take it.

Florida is a place of unparalleled diversity of backgrounds, experiences and vision. It makes our culture unique, but it can also make it difficult to define a common identity and create a sense of community that reaches beyond our neighborhoods to all corners of our state.
