It [our system] may work well with other browsers, but they haven't tested those yet with the version of the Siebel software we're using right now.

Other browsers may work well with the version we are using now, but they have not been tested. Because of our tight schedule and resources, we cannot do that testing now.

If you have a site that's contaminated, the first priority is getting it cleaned up. They're less likely to let anyone interfere with the process as long as it's moving forward.

The Family Entertainment and Copyright Act of 2005 required us to create a pre-registration system for certain works, and we have to have that system up and running by 24 October. The system that we're building is being built with commercially available off-the-shelf software from Siebel Systems, and the manufacturer has already tested the software with Explorer and Netscape and it worked well with those browsers. It may work well with other browsers, but they haven't tested those yet with the version of the Siebel software we're using right now.

The reason we went out with the supplemental inquiry was to see if it was necessary to create a paper-based application as well - something we didn't want to do.

There was, and is, no intent to endorse a particular vendor.
