It makes me angry. My son did not die in vain. And I don't believe that her son died in vain either.

He just hugged me and said, 'You've done your job, mom. It's my turn to protect you now.' I was just floored, you know, it was pretty unreal.

I love seeing his face.

We can be exasperated, and certainly are, but that doesn't reflect on determination to carry out the mission.

He got up and headed, he was going to go to the computer, and I said, 'No, it's not the computer. I could see the big brass buttons reflecting light (through the front door). That's a sight I'll never forget. There's something inside of me that still says to this day, if we just hadn't opened the door.

We seem to have a whole lot in common as women, and as mothers, so that's pretty interesting.
