It is nice to take something out of the season. We can't win promotion, though we can still aim for the top four, but this allows us to show off something for our efforts.

Promotion cometh not from the west or the east,but to only those that attempt success,both mentally & by action.

I'm excited to be able to give Gene this well-deserved promotion. He's been an integral part of our recent success, both on the court and the recruiting trails, and he will continue to play a big role in our goal of renewing the prestige of Butler basketball.

Lee's promotion is really just the overdue recognition of the job he was already doing. He has done an outstanding job of player contract negotiation, overseeing major league player movement and helping to shape the big league club.

Every team in the club is aiming for promotion. All three sides want to achieve it.
