It has always been my favorite Miller play because the politics of the play are deeply embedded in the characters. The ideas of two brothers who embody the viewpoint of selflessness and self-interest is a common and powerful theme of Miller's. It's hard to express how great this play is and how much I believe in it.

The Governor has had four years to clean up pay-to-play politics in Illinois. He hasn't done it. The U.S. Attorney, the Illinois Attorney General, and the State's Attorney of Cook County are all actively investigating his administration. Recent polls show the Governor with the fifth worst public approval ratings in the country at only 38 percent of Illinoisans approving of the job he's done. The same polls have him losing the general election to the Republicans.

I also don't necessarily like DRM myself. But…I'm an 'Oppenheimer,' and I refuse to play politics with Linux, and I think you can use Linux for whatever you want to–which very much includes things I don't necessarily personally approve of.

Don't play politics with this issue. You've got to show the moxie, the backbone.

Mayor Rutledge didn't play politics. He stood for what he believed in.

We agree that there is politics at play. It was politics that caused the DOR to retract a report that agreed with the inspector general's position on the issue and replace it with a weaker report co-authored by the very agency that the DOR was supposed to investigate.
