It has a lot to do with the coaching that these girls are getting at the select level. The select programs in Middle Tennessee are really beginning to pick up. Girls are trying to find the best teams that they can to play on.

These girls in middle school had a couple of opportunities to play against them as well. They had a reputation coming up through middle school. So, our girls are pretty familiar with them. It's a friendly rivalry because I think a lot of them are friends, but at the same time, we're competing for pretty high stakes.

Girls of this age are influenced by media, TV, and clothes in the store. The clothes they're wearing are scanty for their age. It's a statement that girls are becoming sexually aware. They're learning that clothing is a statement of appeal, and a way to get boys to look at them.

You know, who cares about seeing the girls when everybody wants to see the band. That's what's important, KISS is important. I think we look great, and the attitude is there, and I'm real happy with it.

Three of those four girls are seniors ? and they just stepped up. It was just a clutch, big win for us.

A couple of our girls wondered after the game why she isn't in track, because she got around those bases in a hurry and she wasn't going to stop. She hit a gap, used her speed and we threw to the wrong base. It was a mental lapse and they took advantage of it.
