It gives a false sense of security. Unless drawn-out storms pass through the area, most of the rain water runs off or is dried up by the heat, leaving the vegetation dry.

I think for most Iraqis it's not a big issue. The big issues are water, electricity and security.

What are your priorities now? We are looking at no food and water, these horrific security issues, all of these tens of thousands of people that need to be evacuated. Where is the priority? There seems to be an inadequate response in all areas.

When we speak about 1.7 million people in need of urgent assistance, we refer to a food security, water, health, nutrition and protection crisis.

It's critically dry here in the state and there doesn't seem to be any relief in sight. Drought indices are way up, and we've got extreme fire danger.

This was definitely one of the bigger storms of the year in terms of total snowfall.
