Is the length intimidating? Well, when you're playing with Phil [Mickelson] like I was yesterday and he was hitting 50 yards by you, and he's hitting 7-irons where you're hitting 4-irons, then yeah, it's a different game. It's hard. Very hard.

I wear soft spikes, so no problem. I am Switzerland. I take no sides. Vijay and I get along great. We talk all the time, so I'm going to enjoy playing with him. I only hope I can play as well as him.

Give me a break. That's unbelievable. When nature's air conditioner turns on around here, I tell you what, it is the home of the 150-yard 7-iron, and you've got to nut it.

I played great for 16 holes today. That just goes to show you ... all you need is one poor swing under these conditions, and you're writing a 6 on the card. In my case, I made a bad club choice and one poor swing and it added up to 6-6. I'm not the first person that's done that. And I certainly won't be the last.

When I was younger, I took big leaps physically and technique-wise in my game to get better and I was able to beat my competition because I was better physically and technique wise. Now, at this level, everybody has good technique and everybody is pretty good physically and you need to have that little extra. I've finally realized at 31 it's the six inches between your ears.

I was a deer in the headlights two years ago. I couldn't find any rhythm at all. I was too busy paying attention to him and not enough to what I was doing. And I wasn't enjoying the day.
