Instead of waking up in the morning and wondering where am I going to get the money for the drugs, I focus on my family.

These are drugs that we know save lives and save money, and still we're only using them in less than half of the people who could benefit. It's especially striking that their rate of use isn't much higher in people most likely to gain ? that is, those with multiple clinical indications and risk factors.

It's a quick way to get money. They go to purchase their drugs or do whatever they're doing. So, really, they're going to continue robbing until they're stopped.

If the question is, 'Has a portion of taxpayer money gone to pay for drugs?' the answer is yes.

I'm always concerned a bit about creative hypocrisy, because it's $49 billion of U.S. money on drugs that is acting as an engine drawing 60 percent of our own cocaine, marijuana, heroin coming through Mexico or adjoining Pacific or Caribbean waters.

It's sort of like selling drugs, there's a lot of money to be made. So, people are always going to try to do it.
