Indiana University Kokomo is a much different place than it was a year ago. In fact, it is well on its way to becoming one of the most important and exciting locations on the city's map. And it is due to the vision of Chancellor Michael Harris.

For his installation ceremony, Indiana University Kokomo’s new chancellor Michael Harris chose to focus on building coalitions for a regional transformation across north central Indiana over the traditional pomp and circumstance.

IU Kokomo has always focused on giving students a well-rounded education in the liberal arts, but that has been a detriment to some of the students focusing in the hard sciences. When Chancellor Michael Harris came to the campus, it was one of the first things he recognized.
