In those days, man, in the '50s, black people in the South... We didn't recognize contracts that much. And we didn't recognize marriages that much, either.

Either accept people for what they are, or don't. So, in other words, man, if people don't know me, I think they do themself an injustice. Because, as a whole, I think I'm a good person.

Most times, people have some acts that they really like. I mean, I don't have any in particular that I admire. I admire them all, you know.

A lot of people believe that the movie is the true story, that Tina did. I don't wanna debate on Ike & Tina, but I have to say this one thing... That movie was the biggest lie, and even Tina said that it's a lie. And she don't like the movie. But she started put gas on the fire by supporting it.

I miss riding those fast trains in Japan... 'cause I'd never seen a train that fast in my life.
