In retrospect, it is clear that fallout from the oil well fires could affect detection equipment and could have caused many of the chemical alerts recorded by the 11th Marines.

During that demolition operation, there were no reports of chemical munitions, nor were there reports of anyone experiencing symptoms consistent with exposure to chemical agents.

If families are important, if people are important, we should be willing to pay what's necessary. We should be willing to make the appropriate investment in our people.

Put pieces of the information together. The bunker had destroyed chemical munitions. We destroyed the bunker. Well, I guess I have to conclude that there were chemical weapons destroyed.

You'd have to be blind, deaf and dumb to not have known that oil prices went up. But if that indeed has a severe impact on economic growth, you'd still have to say that Wal-Mart is a defensive play. It sells the cheap food and consumables that consumers have to replenish.

There's been a lot of selling and profit taking — across all asset classes, actually. Oil is weaker, gold, silver, platinum and palladium are weaker, and base metals are weaker. It's just fed on itself.
