In general, I think mastery testing inflicts a lot of anxiety on students.

That sends a huge message to the students in districts that are not performing. It inflicts a self-fulfilling prophecy on those districts motivationally.

On March 1, we had to turn away over 100 students. We promised them we would arrange another testing, and we are keeping that promise.

These are fairly young students, so they may have some anxiety.

There is a lot of anxiety with taking these state assessments. By following some simple strategies, both students and their parents can be fully prepared for success on test day.

I don't have a problem with testing per se. We have to have some measure of how students are doing and how we as teachers are doing.
