I'm worried. My job is in the transportation industry, and fuel costs have a huge impact on my line of work. But on a personal note, it seems silly and selfish to complain about gas prices when the southern part of the country is like a third-world nation right now. I'll get by.

This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, ... Athletes have a huge impact on so many people. Occasionally, some of them need reminding how important their example is. Frankly, we are all tired of the profanity-laced interviews and the overall perception by some that they are above the law. It is time to step up and take seriously the chance we have to make a difference for good in the lives of others.

We have tremendous concerns in three areas: transportation, because of rising fuel costs; utilities, because of rising fuel costs; and increases in health care costs. We could have given teachers a 7 percent pay raise instead of taking those things away. We could have hired more of those teachers at a higher salary.

Fuel and fertilizer costs are up.

Unfortunately we don’t have enough industry in Toowoomba (to warrant the huge cost),

It has a huge impact on probably the only subdivision that's being impacted by the changes of this interchange.
