I'm sure coach Shannon is not happy with the outcome, but his kids hung in there.

These kids don't have the same drive and determination that I did.

That's the reason I'm coaching. It's definitely a program I care a lot about and one that I want to see back at the top or back where it used to be.

There's no doubt in my mind I understand basketball as well as anybody. My assistants and I have a good relationship and we talk every night, but from day one I've had the final say.

This is a very big win for us. I hope it's a big confidence booster.
